Jessica is an online psychologist at OpenUp. She is here to help you deal with stress, balance your emotions, find purpose and meaning, boost your self-esteem, and develop confidence in different aspects of your life. In other words, Jessica is here to accompany you on your self-empowering journey.

Jessica offers you a safe, warm, and authentic space to open up, share your experience, and lay down what may trouble you. Together you will dive into an open and non-judgmental conversation in order to gain awareness, develop the tools, and set up the actions that will help you move towards the direction that suits you. Jessica works from an integrative approach, combining elements of cognitive behavioural therapy and mind-body-oriented practices. She has offered integrative guidance for issues such as stress, depression, anxiety, burnout, obsessive-compulsive disorders, etc. She has also accompanied people struggling in the areas of emotion regulation, identity crisis, life transition difficulties, self-esteem, body image, etc.

For her self-care and own personal evolution, Jessica practices Yoga every day, journals, and regularly goes into nature to find peace and calm. It helps her deal with the demands of everyday life and her own emotions and feelings.

She has a Master’s in Neuropsychology from Maastricht University, in the Netherlands, and a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Catholic University of Louvain, in Belgium. She also studied Yoga in India, and Meditation in Australia, and is currently finalising her training as a Yoga Therapist in Belgium. Since a very young age she has always been interested in the link between the mind and the body, and the powerful influence they have on each other. During her academic and professional career, she has always worked on investigating and creating a bridge between ancient practices and contemporary sciences. She studied and researched the effects of meditation and yoga on our brain, our genetics, and our mental health. For the past five years, she worked as a freelancer in various places (mental health centres, psychology practices, psychiatry, yoga and sports studios, wellbeing retreats, etc.) around the world (United States, Australia, The Netherlands, Belgium, and India), mainly focusing on accompanying people to better their mental health and self-empower themselves.

Jessica speaks English and French.
