Laura Daniela Peeters
Laura is a psychologist at OpenUp. She is committed and her primary mission is to offer people the best possible “help for self-help”. It is important for her to create a judgment-free, accepting space and to approach her counterpart with empathy, attention, understanding as well as with a sense of humor, supporting the client to overcome their difficulties and achieve their personal goals.
She is always focused on the needs and wishes of her client, taking into account their strengths and resources and being solution-focused.
To take care of her own mental health, Laura loves to take long walks or go hiking in the nature. She feels that practicing mindfulness, meditation and doing yoga helps her to deal with stress and strengthen her resilience.
Laura obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität in Münster (Germany). Following that, she absolved a postgraduate training to become a licensed psychotherapist with the focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy. She has worked as a psychologist/psychotherapist for four years and has experience in a variety of treatment methods (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, mindfulness) which she can apply individually to fit the needs of her client.
Laura speaks German and English.
