Amanda is a psychologist at OpenUp. Amanda is an empathetic and dedicated psychologist who cares about cultivating a non-judgemental space to allow clients to be seen as their true self. She values equipping her clients with the knowledge and tools they need to navigate their individual journey.

With a background in both research and practice, Amanda provides evidence-based counselling for people of all ages and of diverse backgrounds on topics such as building self-esteem, learning to express your needs, navigating thoughts and emotions, cultivating mindfulness and replacing unhealthy habits to increase well-being.

Amanda holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Neurosciences from LMU Munich. Besides working at OpenUp, Amanda offers outpatient psychotherapy as a psychotherapist in training. Amanda’s therapeutic approach revolves around the principles of third-wave Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT).

She believes in practicing what you preach and maintains her own mental health by prioritising her daily yoga practice, time with family and friends as well as indulging in a good read.

Amanda offers sessions in German and English.
