Gut Health for Sustainable Performance
We live in a culture that celebrates productivity, discipline and constant optimisation. When our energy drops, our focus fades, or stress builds up, weāre told to improve our routines, strengthen our mindset, or simply try harder. But sustainable performance doesnāt start with willpower: it starts with biology. Research increasingly shows that our gut plays a central role in energy production, mental clarity, stress regulation and recovery, yet this powerful system is often overlooked in conversations about performance.
In this masterclass, Prof. Dr. Iris Sommer – psychiatrist, neuroscientist and expert in the gutābrain connection – guides us through the science behind gut health and sustainable performance, and explains how our biology shapes the way we think, feel and function.
In this masterclass, you’ll learn:
Why performance is biological before it is psychological
How gut health influences energy, focus and stress resilience
Practical strategies to support recovery and long-term sustainable performance
Can’t join live? No worries! After the session, you will find the recording in the MyOpenUp Videos section.
