How did you launch OpenUp in your company?
As previously mentioned, we introduced the OpenUp initiative as we emerged from the pandemic, initially launching it in the Netherlands for 100 employees. To kick off the program we organised a workshop during one of our all hand meetings featuring a representative from OpenUp, who explained the service in detail. In parallel, we established a dedicated page on our intranet, offering resources from OpenUp. This includes informative articles on topics such as stress management or emotional intelligence, but most notably, employees can engage in a self-evaluation by completing a questionnaire directly on the OpenUp website. Subsequently, OpenUp facilitates further support and individuals have the option to reach out to them if they choose to do so.
Why is resilience among employees crucial?
Resilience among employees in an IT consulting firm is crucial for several reasons. The IT industry is dynamic and in constant change. We are involved in complex projects with diverse challenges. We constantly navigate obstacles and address complex issues to find innovative solutions. In summary, fostering resilience among employees in an IT consulting firm is essential for navigating the dynamic and challenging nature of the industry. It not only contributes to individual well-being but also enhances the overall performance, adaptability and success of our organisation.
What does mental well-being mean to you personally?
As an HR representative, it was really important for me to support our employees as I have personally gone through some difficult times, not only during the pandemic but also right after the pandemic. We had to reinvent our life, and that was not easy. So supporting our employees right after the pandemic, offering OpenUp services was really, for me, a necessity.
