AI well-being coach
The AI well-being coach offers an easy way to start talking, work through what’s on their mind and find the right support through OpenUp.
An easier way to begin
Not everyone is ready to book a session. A private conversation can feel like a smaller first step.

Safety and privacy
AI supports the care, it does not replace it. Your people can book an expert directly, any time.
It helps people reflect and find support. Therapy stays human work.
Every conversation opens with an AI disclosure. Crisis signals route to 24/7 human support.
Confidential from employers, EU-hosted, and never used to train models.
The coach remains optional. Employees can still book an expert, join a group session or explore OpenUp content as usual.
Read our vision for responsible AIAs a front door to expert care. The experts stay at the centre. When a person is the right next step, the coach suggests a 1:1 session and books it in the same conversation. Employees can also book an expert directly, without using the coach.
It is designed to guide, not to treat, and built for one purpose with our psychologists and medical doctors. It does not diagnose or give clinical advice, it points to a human as soon as that is the better fit, and its guidance comes from our own psychologists rather than generic internet tips. Nothing your employees type trains a model.
Not visible to managers, HR or the employer. Selected anonymised transcripts may be reviewed internally by OpenUp’s clinical and product team to check safety and improve the coach. This is strictly internal and does not involve model training.
The coach stops coaching and shows a safety message with emergency contacts (112 or the local crisis line) and how to reach OpenUp's own 24/7 human support.
In the EU, on Microsoft Azure in Sweden, with GDPR compliance, a completed data protection impact assessment and ISO 27001 and NEN 7510 certification. User data is contractually excluded from model training, and inactive accounts are deleted after 36 months.
