In honour of Mental Health Awareness Week 2025, this meditation will focus on cultivating community and kindness. When we think about community, our minds often turn to the people around usâour families, friends, colleagues, and wider circle. But deepening these connections starts within.
By nurturing a kind and compassionate relationship with ourselves, we create the foundation for genuine connection with others. Through self-kindness, we open the door to deeper empathy, stronger bonds, and more supportive communities.
Meditation is a powerful training that has been widely backed up by science. Some of its benefits are:
- Greater concentration and focus
- Less distress and more resilience
- More capacity to act consciously rather than react out of a habitual pattern
- More compassion, acceptance, and patience, for oneself and others
- Increased sense of wholeness and well-being
Our meditation group sessions are guided by professional psychologists experienced in mindfulness practice. Previous experience is not required to join.
