Nathalia is a psychologist at OpenUp. She is empathetic, and open-minded and will work together with you to focus on your strengths and capabilities. Nathalia is a solution-oriented and optimistic person who knows that a small step is a start to a big difference.
If you are struggling with any form of difficulties, stress, anxiety, sleep problems or you wish to explore what drives you in life, she offers a listening ear without judgment and, together with you, will think of new ways to help solve your problems.
Nathalia’s main approach is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy, but she is always open to explore other options.
To take care of her own mental health, Nathalia likes to disentangle her thoughts and write them down. Writing down all the things you need to do or all the thoughts you have helps to put things in perspective and focus. She also likes to take walks, even only for 10 minutes, to give herself some time to breathe and relax…Something the brain needs, but we often forget to do.
Nathalia obtained her Master’s degree in Clinical Neuropsychology at Leiden University and her Research Master’s degree in Cognitive Neuropsychology at the Vrije Universiteit. Her international background – being Colombian – provides her with (personal) experiences of what living in a new country really means.
Nathalia speaks both Spanish and English.
