Heike is a psychologist at OpenUp. To her it is important to create a space where you are met with down to earth and openminded professionalism, and where you can feel free to express yourself.
Heike has 4 years of experience as a clinical psychologist in her private practice where she has encountered people with all kinds of challenges in all ages and with various backgrounds. She works integrative, combining CBT, SFT, mindfulness and ISTDP with a special focus on the mind and body interaction. To Heike your personal values and emotions are equally important and should be valued as a compass for direction and growth.
Personally, she meditates every day, spends time with family and friends but also prioritizes her hobbies such as music, yoga and swimming. Especially cold water swimming means a lot, and helps her stay focused and clear headed.
Heike has studied history and philosophy in both Denmark and Germany before earning a BA & Masters degree in clinical and work- and organizational psychology from the University of Copenhagen.
