Teresa is a psychologist at OpenUp. In a safe and non-judgmental way, she stands next to you and supports you in achieving your goal. She does this by starting a conversation with you in a light and curious way and asking the questions that can help you find your own answers and insights. Learning new skills and knowledge that you can continue to apply in your life, will be at the forefront of the conversations.

Teresa works in a integrative way manner by which you and your goal will be the starting point. Together with you, she will choose the method that best matches what you need to (again) stand in your strength and achieve your goal. She uses methods such as ACT, CBT, mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, motivational interviewing and insightful therapy.

To take good care of her own mental health, Teresa invests in a good energy balance by eating healthy, getting enough sleep and doing something every day that makes her happy and energized, such as dancing, exercising, reading a nice book or just taking a moment of rest and meditation.

Teresa obtained her master’s degree in clinical psychology at Leiden University. She gained experience working in the field of mental health care and at an independent clinic, specialized in health and weight. She started her own practice for integrative counseling and psychotherapy. Additional she is trained in ACT and relationship therapy (IBCT).

Teresa speaks Dutch and English.
