Ana De Larrechea
Ana is a psychologist at OpenUp. She is from Argentina but currently lives in Madrid.
She uses techniques from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), compassion-focused therapy (CFT), and Emotional Intelligence and Mindfulness practices. If she discovers that you like art, she will help you through expressive techniques. In her consultations, Ana ensures that you feel fully understood when sharing your struggles, and proposes active goals to help you achieve your optimal well-being.
Ana is extremely attentive to your expectations, basing her methods specifically on your individual needs and motivations. She is most passionate about helping others reach their utmost potential.
During the pandemic, Ana studied Emotional Intelligence and Well-being at the University of Barcelona. She incorporates practices of emotional awareness, emotional regulation, and social skills into her life, so that she can effectively apply these practices with her clients.
Currently, she is studying a Child and Adolescent Mental Health Training Program in CISMA, (Centro Integral de Salud Mental Argentino) an Argentinian centre for comprehensive mental health – learning more about CBT, (cognitive behavioural therapy) ACT, (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) and DBT (Dialectic Behavioral Therapy) interventions. She also works as a freelance psychologist.
To take care of her mental health, Ana actively incorporates movement into her lifestyle by going to the gym, taking dancing or theatre classes, practising yoga and meditation, and maintaining a healthy diet. She prioritises time for reflection and introspection and also enjoys getting together with friends and family. She finds that travel helps her gain new perspectives and insights, and often returns from trips feeling refreshed and inspired.
Ana speaks Spanish and English.
“When awareness is brought to an emotion, power is brought to your life.”
